[SUBW-A] Beginner ski trip 4/5 July

G'day all,

I'm doing a beginner ski trip in a couple of weeks. Leave on Friday
afternoon (3/7/09), and return that Sunday. Not an absolute beginner trip.
Essentially, if you don't have a decent amount of experience moving with
things on your feet (rollerblades, skates, skis, surfboard...) then this
isn't your trip. Limited group size.

My plan is to start at Guthega pondage, and head towards Illawong hut,
then up the hills on the other side of the creek. Route is dependant on
collective ability of group. Other ideas welcome.

I think club insurance requires that everyone sign a release form for
snow, which I can't seem find on the subw site. (Mitch?) And, if you're
not a club member, join ($30) or participate as a guest (another form
which I can't find...). At least, I think that's how the insurance goes.

More information on typical trips at the below link. Prices are outdated -
multiply by about 150%. Expected cost of weekend = $100-150, depending on
your gear ownership.
