Hi all
This is sort of a trip announcment. Below are links to a program for a group called the Willow Warriors who run regular trips into remote areas to map and treat weeds, primarily willows (

They focus on treating willows in wilderness areas, areas adjacent wilderness areas or on rivers that flow into wilderness areas; so in areas that we like to walk in.
I did a day trip last weekend on the Wingecaribee and it was great. I remember talking to a few people last PBT about organising for SUBW to be involved in weed control work in wilderness areas and it would be good if we could support a group who have already started this..
As an aside, the group is also looking for someone to help with developing an online
database
to record trip information and I thought there may be someone out there who
would have these skills and might be willing to volunteer their time (I can
think of a couple of people, Tom???). I have a bit of a breif for what this would involve so if you are interested, email me (alexdeb at hotmail.com) and i will forward it to you.
Cheers
Alex
