Dear Bushwalkers,
This is a reminder about the upcoming Presidents Bludge Trip. Strictly
speaking this is not exactly a bludge trip, however the sunday
shouldnt require more than 2-3 hours of walking. The plan is to head out on
the friday night and camp at the usual place a short way down the boyd range
track. Saturday will involve walking out along Kanangra Walls and down to
the junction of Christies Ck via Cambage Spire. The campsite for the first
night is about 20-30m upriver from the junction. On Sunday there will be
about 6km of walking upriver to the campsite south of Broken Point (map
reference 344252 on the Yerranderie map). Monday will be about 7-8 hours of
walking back to the cars via Murdochs Spur and the Uni Rover Trail. As I've
mentioned before this is not a beginners trip as the walk in and out is
quite steep and rough in places.
The bringing of fine food, beer and wine is encouraged. Previous PBTs have
seen a variety of trade models emerge and develop in relation to consumable
commondities. As usual, there is a formal dress-code (perhaps not your
sunday best, but at least a tie/bowtie of some description). Please send me
an email to let me know if you are interested in coming along, and also
if you have a car and how many passengers you can take. I'll send out
another email closer to the time with details of transport arrangements.
Cheers,
Pete
