[SUBW-A] Beginner Canyoning final details.

Hey All, below are the final details for the trip next weekend (sept
20-21st)
If you cannot come PLEASE let me know.
Note: if the weather is really horrible( I mean REALLY horrible, not just a
bit rainy), I reserve the right to reschedule the trip. hopefully this
doesnt happen

WHEN: 7:30 Saturday morning

WHERE: Strathfield station NORTH side (parramatta rd side) There is a
roundabout with a shelter in the middle. meet here.

MEMBERSHIP:
Everyone on this trip HAS to be a member for insurance purposes. if you have
an access card, please bring it on the trip and I will bring the forms
needed to sign up. Everyone else, if you havent already joined and paid,

WHAT TO BRING: (NOTE: if you said you needed to borrow gear, assume that I
have it for you. I will let you know if this is not the case)
-Tent
-Sleeping bag
-Sleeping mat ( if you needed to borrow one of these, please consider buying
a cheap foam mat from a 2 dollar store/ kmart, as it will be better than
most of the club ones)
-Abseiling gear if you have it
-Small daypack
-hat
-sunscreen
-torch/flashlight
-alcoholic beverages
-rain jacket
-Bicycle helmet if you have one
-Warm clothes for canyoning (wetsuits not required, but you can bring one if
you want to go for a few optional waterjumps)
-warm clothes for around the campfire
-extra socks (woolen ones are great for canyoning)
-cooking implements ( we will have a fire, but bring a stove if you prefer)
-food for one dinner, two pack lunches, one breakfast, snacks.
-Nibblies to share.
-Water bottle ( i reccomend 1.5 litres)
-Camers if you have one
-Alcoholic beverages
-cup,plate,knive,fork,etc
-toilet paper
-SHOES FOR CANYONING (these WILL get wet, so dunlop volleys are reccomended,
but any running/tennis shoes with good grip will do. NO HIKING BOOTS
PLEASE!)
-Dry shoes for around the campfire/ driving
-Money for petrol, dinner on sunday (petrol should be less than $20 per
person, but no promisses.)
- anything else you wish to bring, but remember you will be sharing a car
with 4 others, so dont take too much!

We will be camping about 200m from the cars, so big backpacks are not
required. There is NO WATER at the campsite, so if the drivers want to bring
some extra water bottles, please do so. I will buy some 6 litre canisters to
share around.

We will be returning sunday night and we can try and arrange for people to
be dropped off at convinient locations.
