[SUBW-A] September Slide Night is in October

G'day walkers,

There's a wry truism that goes around the staff at USyd along the lines of
"university would be great if it weren't for all the students".  And sure,
everybody chuckles the first time they hear it, but after a while its
truthiness becomes apparent.

In this case, though, it might affect you.  There is something called an
"AVCC Common Week/non-teaching period" next week, which apparently means
that we can't book a room for the slide night that would otherwise be on
the Wednesday.

We do have the Reading Room booked for the Wednesday after that, though.

In the meantime, if you have pre-PBT business that needs sorting out
(membership, gear borrowing, pre-purchase of meat raffle tickets)
then I'll do the hard yards and bring a bunch of maps to the Forest Lodge
Hotel (Arundel St Glebe) from around 7pm so we look like we know what
we're doing.  Kind of a "slide-free slide night".
