G'day walkers,
The end of October is almost upon us, and with that the end of semester,
and with THAT the end of the slide nights. Oh no! Don't panic though,
I've heard rumours that it's possible to still go bushwalking without the
incentive of seeing your big mug up on the big screen.
So, the final SUBW slide night for the year is NEXT WEDNESDAY NIGHT:
Wednesday, October 31, 7.00pm
Holme Common Room
Note that we're in the COMMON ROOM, just around the corner from the
Reading Room where we usually are. This is done in a final bid to test
your navigation skills in time for the endless summer. As usual,
many people gather at the nearby Forest Lodge Hotel (Arundel St Glebe)
beforehand.
It should be great! The past month has seen bush bashes, ridge bashes,
scrub bashes, road bashes, canyons, cross-country skiing, kayaking and
long waits on Bell station ... and that's just the stuff I've been at.
If that doesn't sound like the sort of thing you'd like to see then you
still have this weekend to film that epic siege-style effort on Narrowneck,
whack a bit of Amy Winehouse under it and show us your own video.
Hope to see you there!
Cheers
tom
PS: I'll be bringing MANY MAPS in the hopes of organising a few longer
Wollemi trips over the break, please get in touch if you'd be interested
in that.
